Seatrade exhibition and Awards to feature at UAE Maritime Week

Final preparations are underway for Seatrade Maritime Middle East (SMME) 2018, official exhibition of UAE Maritime Week, which is set to open at Dubai World Trade Centre on 29 October.

To be held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, the event will feature nearly 300 exhibiting companies from across the international maritime community with an expected total of more than 8,000 attendees across the three-day show.

Topics to be discussed during the conference sessions at SMME will include autonomous shipping and automation; fuels of the future; digital and cyber technologies; and environmental challenges within the shipping industry.

On the eve of SMME’s opening the 15th edition of the Seatrade Maritime Awards for the Middles East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa – the longest-running maritime awards scheme for the region - will take place at Atlantis, The Palm, Dubai on 28 October.
