Kindon New Energy Technology was awarded RINA’s certificate of Approval in Principle for recognition of its offshore wind energy green hydrogen production system

Chinas Kindon New Energy Technology, an outstanding scientific and technological innovation enterprise in Nantong Innovation Zone, Jiangsu province, was awarded RINAs certificate of Approval in Principle for recognition of its offshore wind energy green hydrogen production system, which marks their breakthrough in green hydrogen production.

Zheng Xiangyuan, Kindon New Energy Technologys director and chief scientist said commented, Hydrogen production from offshore wind power is an innovative way to generate green hydrogen through green electricity, which will not produce carbon dioxide and can effectively reduce pollution. Kindon will promote prototypes production and project expansion, expecting to complete the demonstration of the whole project in the first quarter of next year, taking an important step from laboratory to offshore practice.

Luigi Mattara, Operations Director of RINA (China), said, The offshore wind energy hydrogen production system developed by Kindon New Energy, which produces hydrogen through electrolysis of water, follows the general decarbonization trend of green electricity for hydrogen production, and is in line with RINAs aim to support customers in developing sustainable technologies.

Kindon New Energy Technology, newly established in 2022, is engaged in develop hydrogen production and the whole industry chain of hydrogen application.
