First Southeast Asia service from Tangshan port

North Chinese port operator Hebei Port Group is opening up its first shipping service connecting with Southeast Asia from Tangshan port.

Operated by Tangshan Hede Shipping, a branch company of Hebei Port Group, the service will call at the ports of Tangshan, Nansha, Ho Chi Minh and Laem Chabang on weekly basis.

It is a new shipping route servicing for RCEP member countries operated by Hebei port along with the ones to Japan and South Korea. With the addition of this Southeast Asia Service, Hebei port currently runs seven foreign-trading near-sea services covering twelve ports in Japan, South Korea, Vietnam and Thailand, according to Hebei Port.

In the first quarter, Hebei port achieved 14.1% growth of cargo throughput and posted a cargo volume of 194m tons.
