The northern Chinese port operator Shandong Port Group and the domestic e-commerce platform Alibaba have inked strategic agreement to deepen collaborations.

Alibaba will support Shandong port to promote digital transformation. The two parties are going to jointly develop innovated logistics service model, enhance cooperation on smart and green port construction, and improve global resources allocation ability.

Shandong Port and Alibaba will also set up a lab for end-to-end logistics supply chain services.

Shandong port is the first smart port construction trial base domestically and has been working with Alibaba on green port development, cloud and digital platforms for a number of years. The enhanced cooperation will turn a new page for the two parties to improve intelligent and digital service level for port, trading, logistics, finance and shipping, commented Shandong Port.
