Korean Register (KR) has established a new office in Guangzhou, a maritime hub in South China, expanding its overseas service network.

Driven by the increasing number of newbuildings from South China, Korean Register said that it urgently needs to add vessel surveyors in the region and broaden its business scale with the opening of new office.

"KR is strengthening overseas operation capability and further investment portfolio by expanding service network infrastructure in China. Currently, our operation results in China are getting better and we will keep expanding our overseas market," said Lee Hyungchul, ceo of KR.

As the date of October, Korean Register runs 15 branches in Korea and 57 offices worldwide. It’s headquarters in China is based in Shanghai, plus with offices in Dalian, Qingdao, Nanjing, Ningbo and Guangzhou.
