Xiangyu bags up to four bulk carriers

Nantong Xiangyu Shipbuilding and Offshore Engineering has entered into shipbuilding contracts with three domestic companies for the construction of four bulk carriers.

Ruiyi United Shipping Asset Management and Zhejiang Bank Leasing jointly ordered two vessels, Juhe Shipping and Jinhang Shipping ordered one vessel, respectively. 

The 63,550dwt ultramax bulkers are in 199.85 metres length and 32.26 meters width, are independently developed by Xiangyu, and are greener and more energy-saving comparing with existing vessels of the same type. 

Xiangyu has made impressive achievements in bulk carrier construction market recently, the self-developed 63,500dwt and 79,900dwt bulk carriers have gained recognition in both domestic and global markets, said Xiangyu. 

One of the owners, Ruiyi United Shipping Asset Management is the subsidiary of listed Century Commodity Solution which focuses on shipping asset management, investment and management. 

Juhe Shipping is a unit of Juhe Intelligent Technology, providing technology solutions for marine industry. Jinhang Shipping is a domestic company concentrating on coastal shipping services.
