Announcing the acquisition of Yxney Maritime VPS said it aimed to support the marine industry’s efforts to decarbonise and operate more sustainably.
“With the increased focus on sustainability, this acquisition of Yxney will help our maritime customers to better understand the impact that every operational activity has on GHG emissions, enabling improved efficiencies and delivery of emissions reductions,” said Malcolm Cooper, CEO of VPS.
The fuel tester believes that by bringing Yxney’s advanced analytical software, Maress, into its portfolio it will be able to help its customers deliver greater carbon emission reductions.
“Together, and with complementary services, we are creating genuine sustainable transformation through data-driven change,” said Simen Sanna Gjord, CEO of Yxney Maritime.
The value of the transaction was not disclosed.
