Yara Marine Technologies (YMT) has rebranded as Manta Marine Technologies following its acquisition by Okapi Supply Trading Advisory and announced a new management team.

YMT, previously owned by Yara International, was recently brought by Geneva-based Okapi which described the new brand as Manta Marine Technologies and change in leadership as a “new era” for the company.

The rebranded company will be led by CEO Ina Reksten, who previously served as Deputy CEO and Chief Operating Officer of YMT.

Former CEO Dr Thomas Koniordos has been appointed as Chair of the Board, while previous Chief Sales Officer, Aleksander Askeland will be the new CFO, and Richard Engelhart Bjercke has been appointed as new CCO.

New CEO Reksten commented, “By becoming part of the Okapi family we will be able to offer our customers more efficient and effective solutions towards green operations.

Okapi CEO, Mohamed J. Ndao said, “All our products, such as FuelOpt and shore power solutions, are well known for their ability to help make vessels greener. Our new team will build on this success and ensure that we help our sector move closer towards a low and zero carbon future.”
