Accord, which has been administered by Nepa Projects of Hong Kong since 2010, has taken management of 20 vessels since its inception in 1992, employing 55 staff at offices in Hong Kong, India and the Netherlands. Following the takeover, Accord will now rebrand its technical and crew management division under the new name.
“After several visits to observe their culture and operations, we are convinced that Accord is the right fit to complement Crowley’s existing operations,” said Mike Golonka, vice president of Crowley Technical Management. “Accord has built a team that allows access to trained, qualified mariners without the additional expense of third-party crewing companies – something potential customers are demanding.”
