Scorpio Bulkers to raise $150m from private placement

Scorpio Bulkers to raise $150m from private placement
Scorpio Bulkers continues to raise funds for its newbuilding programme with a $150m private equity placement.

The New York Stock Exchange-listed owner is issuing 40m shares priced at $3.75 per share generating gross proceeds of $150m.

“The company intends to use the net proceeds of this offering to fund installment payments due under its newbuilding program, and the remaining amount, if any, for general corporate purposes and working capital,” Scorpio Bulkers said.

It expects to issue to the shares on 20 November.
