Vard to build two PSVs for Nordic American Offshore

Vard to build two PSVs for Nordic American Offshore
Vard Holdings, designer and builder of OSVs, has penned a letter of intent with Nordic American Offshore for the design and construction of two PSVs plus an option for a third vessel.

The letter of intent is valid until the end of the second quarter of 2014, with the option expiring at the end of July this year.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

The vessels are of Vard 1 08 design, developed by Vard Design in Norway. The hulls of the vessels will be built at Vard Braila in Romania.

The PSVs are scheduled to be delivered from Vard Aukra in Norway in the second quarter and third quarter of 2015, respectively.
