Antam sees 20% drop in nickel ore supplies in H2 due to export ban
Jakarta: Indonesia’s second largest nickel ore producer Aneka Tambang (Antam) has been reported as saying taxes and restrictions on ore shipments may cut supplies by as much as 20% in the second half of 2012 from a year earlier.

A senior official at Antam said: “The tax is significant for private mines”, adding that the company itself will probably be able to absorb part of the rise in tax costs and expects a “maximum 5% drop” in its own shipments.
