CIMC Raffles and State Power Investment Corp cooperate on offshore wind

CIMC Raffles and China’s State Power Investment Corporation Shandong Branch have inked a strategic cooperation agreement in CIMC Offshore Engineering Research Institute for the development of offshore wind power.

The two parties will jointly promote Shandong offshore wind power projects, distribution and sale business, as well as the construction of Shandong offshore wind power industry chain. They will also jointly develop the first "offshore wind plus ocean farming" integration demonstration project in China.

“We and State Power Investment Shandong Branch hope to jointly develop more economic, safer and efficient solutions through comprehensively deepening strategic cooperation, promote the high quality development of the whole industry chain of offshore wind power,” said Wang Jianzhong, ceo and president of CIMC Raffles.

CIMC Raffles is a leading offshore EPC contractor in China. The company has successfully developed a 12 megawatt offshore wind turbine installation vessel, and maintained the integration of "wind farm plus ocean farming" for the harmonious development of marine ecology. Relying on Yantai, Haiyang and Longkou construction bases, CIMC Raffles is developing to be the general assembly and operation base of offshore wind power in Shandong.

State Power Investment Corporation, newly established through the merger of China Power Investment Corporation and State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation, is one of China’s top five power generators.
