Fujian Southeast Shipbuilding wins order to build two 6,500-dwt tankers

Details of the newbuilding order were sketchy as the delivery dates and contract value were not disclosed in a brief statement announced by the Chinese shipbuilder.

The order for 6,500-dwt capacity tankers is the first ever for Fujian Southeast, as the yard has so far constructed product tankers of 1,500-3,800 dwt in capacity.

Fujian Southeast said ABS has been appointed as the classification society for the tankers.
