The semi-automated terminal passed the 1 millionth move (equal to 1.8m teu) on 15 December. The 1 millionth container was loaded on the 13,800 teu MSC Bettina operated by MSC.

The Port of Barcelona has seen a 33% jump in container volumes up to November 2017.
“We will continue to improve the service we provide to our customers through further investments in equipment and technology,” Belcastro added.
