China’s Zhoushan-based Jinhai said the partnership between the group and the school aims to set up a specialised Zhoushan Jinhai Class, which will train interested students in the areas of welding, repair and maintenance, electromechanical and so forth, which are suitable for a career in shipbuilding.
Lanxiang Vocational School admits about 20,000 students each year and offers courses in subjects such as auto repair, construction equipment operations, computer skills, and cooking.
Jinhai is a leading shipyard in Zhejiang province and constructs mainly containerships, oil tankers and dredgers.
