The orders comprise of seven 24,600 dwt stainless steel chemical tankers with an option for four sister ships.
The Chinese yard also inked a contract to construct two 64,000 dwt dry bulk carriers for a Hong Kong owner.
Nantong Mingde said on its website that the tankers will be designed to consume only 16 metric tonnes of bunker fuel per day.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed and no delivery dates were given.
