ONE's first year did not come against the background of the easiest of markets in container shipping and its initial months of operations were hampered by difficulties with its new integrated IT systems.
However 12 months on ONE was able to note a number of highlights over the last year. These included being among the top five largest reefer container carriers with 250,000 teu of reefer capacity, some 31 mega-containerships including 20,000 teu vessels, and a 4m teu a year capacity four berth joint venture terminal with PSA in Singapore.
Its vibrant magenta branding has also stood out against the usual blues, grey's and greens of container shipping.
