Singapore: Pacific International Lines (PIL) and Taipei's Wan Hai Lines (WHL) have announced that launch of a new Far East to Black Sea service as a result if the "strong and sustained growth over the past year in Far East - Black Sea trade".
The new service, commencing from end November, will initially deploy four 2,800teu vessels on a fortnightly service, moving up to a fully manned weekly service using seven vessels (four by PIL and three by WHL) by mid February.
The port rotation will be as follows:
Shanghai - Ningbo - Shekou - Singapore - Port Said - Istanbul - Constantza - Illichevsk - Jeddah - Singapore - Shanghai
The new Far East - Black sea service will boast efficient transit times from the Far East to the Black Sea, tanking only 19 days to get from Shanghai to Port Said and 22 days to Istanbul. [14/09/07]
