Removal of victims in Philippine ferry disaster set to start

Manila: Having successfully handled the removal of bunker fuel as well as toxic cargoes the ongoing salvage mission of the tragedy that befell the Princess of the Stars will now turn to removing the trapped corpses inside the ill fated ferry that sank on June 21. Two salvage firms Titan Salvage and Harbor Star have been deployed in the lengthy clean up off Romblon in the centre of the Philippine archipelago. More than 800 passengers lost their lives as the Sulpicio owned ship ran into a typhoon.  [20/10/08]
