Singapore box throughput stays flat in March
Singapore: Singapore port's container throughput stayed flat in March over the corresponding period of last year though volumes improved month-on-month, according to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).

Box volumes in March came up to 2.64m teu, improving 11.9% compared to 2.36m teu seen in February, which was a slow month due to shorter number of working days.

In the first three months of this year, Singapore handled a total of 7.63m teu of boxes, inching up 1.3% compared to 7.54m teu of throughput in the same period of 2012, figures from MPA showed.
