Wärtsilä and V. Ships announce tie up

Helsinki: Wärtsilä and V.Ships have agreed to work together to provide joint ship and technical management services to third parties in the marine market. The partners plan to use Wärtsilä's strengths as a ship machinery and systems supplier and V.Ships' expertise in recruiting and training senior officers and technicians to offer an integrated portfolio of services that encompasses the full lifecycle of ship's machineries at competitive cost.

The new partnership will provide skilled marine labour that is continuously trained and supported by state-of-the-art logistic and management organisation. This encompasses technical supervision, machinery maintenance planning, conditioned based maintenance and planning, software updates, training programs, spare parts and labour, logistics and accounting for technical management.
