With the agreement Wärtsilä plans to offer the Silverstream System as part of its solutions for newbuild vessels for compliance with EEDI requirements, as well as for retrofits where the Finnish company is the primary provider.
The Silverstream System has been proven to reduce fuel consumption and related air emissions by 5 – 10%.
Under the agreement Silverstream’s customers will have access to Wärtsilä’s service network in over 70 countries for maintenance of their systems.

In Wärtsilä we find a partner as committed as we are to achieving a cleaner, more efficient and sustainable maritime industry.”
