Vard in $168m OSV contract with Island Offshore

Vard in $168m OSV contract with Island Offshore
Vard has won a NOK1bn ($168m) contract for an offshore support vessel (OSV) for Norwegian firm Island Offshore.

The Rolls-Royce-designed vessel is to be assembled at the Vard Brevik yard in Norway, with the hull to be fabricated at Vard Tulcea in Romania.

The vessel is slated for delivery in the second quarter of 2016.

The contract, similar to an order in November last year, also follows a PSV order at Vard Vung Tau for Carlotta Offshore earlier this week.
