The MiM 2022 event takes place online from July 5 to 7. It is an initiative headed by London-based maritime agency Wake Media, and hosted together with partners Bray Leino and Oakwood Agency. The main sponsors for this year’s event are Lloyd’s List Intelligence, Seatrade Maritime, SeaFocus, Shipping Innovation Ltd, and StackAdapt.

The maritime industry is undergoing a rapid transition towards a new era of decarbonised sustainability. The challenge for marketing professionals is to fully understand and appreciate the changes taking place, and to move the sector away from conventional, conservative thinking. A new norm is arriving, and MiM 2022 offers a forum in which leading B2B and B2C practitioners will explore the future of marketing.

“Effective and relevant marketing has never been as important to the maritime sector as it is today,” explains Andy Ford, Managing Director at Wake Media. “The industry continues to move rapidly forward in response to environmental concerns and legislation, as well as to requirements for lowering operating costs through greater efficiencies, which in turn needs marketers to respond to these, and quickly. This year’s MiM event will take a closer look at how marketing can adapt to this ever-changing environment.”

Key speakers from a variety of disciplines within the marketing world will present and discuss topics ranging from developing the most effective marketing strategies and campaigns, the importance of internal communications, ‘Breaking Asia’, and more.
