No crew are allowed to disembark from vessels calling at either the Port of Fujairah or the Port of Fujairah offshore anchorage according to shipping agents GAC, quote a Port of Fujairah notice to agents dated 15 March.
No shore leave including to seafarer clubs and duty free is allowed. Crew disembarkation will only be allowed in the case of an emergency and is subject to approval of the Harbour Master.
However, crew change can continue as per immigration procedures.
The new measures restricting shore leave are effective immediately until further notice.
