Rudong port adding two liquid cargo berths

China’s Rudong port in Jiangsu province is to build two new liquid bulk cargo berths for its second phase terminal project.

The project, located at Yangkou port area of Rudong, includes two new 50,000 tonnes-class liquid bulk cargo berths, with a designed annual handling capacity of 4.78m tons per year.

It will start construction in October 2020 and is expected to be completed in 2022.

Upon the completion of the two new berths, local liquid bulk cargo demands will be fully satisfied, said an official from Jiangsu Yangkou Port Construction and Development Group.

The liquid cargo terminal project at Yangkou port has been divided into two phases. The first phase project includes two 5,000 tonne-class berths and one 10,000 tonnes-class berth, which are scheduled for completion in December this year.
