Zhejiang Seaport enhances cooperation with Indonesian port

Zhejiang Seaport Group, Ningbo-Zhoushan port and PT Pelabuhan Indonesia have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the development of industrial port at Kuala Tanjung port.

The three parties are going to establish a comprehensive cooperation relationship to develop industrial park at Kuala Tanjung Port, as well as the management and operation of the port and the industrial park. 

Project at Kuala Tanjung Port has gained considerable interest from authorities of China and Indonesia. We are expecting to achieve successful industry park development and port operation via the cooperation, said Mao Jianhong, Chairman of Zhejiang Seaport Group.

Kuala Tanjung is a deep sea port development project situated in North Sumatra, Indonesia. It will be an industrial port complex currently being developed by state owned port corporation Pelindo 1, Zhejiang Seaport and the Port of Rotterdam.
