CSSC Jiangnan delivers first post-lockdown vessel

CSSC Jiangnan Shipyard delivered the VLEC Pacific Ineos Grenadier, to PACIFIC GAS, the first vessel the yard has delivered since resuming production after the recent Shanghai covid outbreak.

With a capacity to transport 99,000 cu m of liquefied gas across the Pacific Ocean, the vessel is equipped with Type-B cargo quartet containment system developed by Jiangnan Shipyard. Equipped with dual-fuel systems, the vessel can operate with ethane through a shaft generator, meeting the latest emission requirements.

After the city lockdown of Shanghai from the beginning of April, Jiangnan Shipyard opreations for around one month and started to resume production gradually from 23 April. This vessel is the first one Jiangnan has delivered since then. 

In the year to date, Jiangnan shipyard has acquired RMB16.4bn ($2.41bn) in  commercial vessel contracts, an increase of 76% year-on-year.
