It is the first newbuilding order by Tongli Shipping at Chengxi Shipyard
The 82,000dwt bulk carrier is one of the main ship types built by Chengxi Shipyard. It is the fourth generation product of Chengxi’s 82,000 dwt bulk carrier series, which has a larger cargo carrying capacity and lower emissions.
Chengxi Shipyard had delivered twenty-eight bulk carriers of this type so far.
The two firm bulkers are scheduled for delivery in October 2022 and January 2023.
Tongli Shipping, transferred its core businesses to Singapore in 2018, has been considering to purchase more vessels and expand the current dry bulk fleet at an appropriate time.
