With the newbuilds, Danaos now has a total of four vessels under construction at Yangzijiang shipyard with deliveries scheduled for the second half of 2026 and the first quarter of 2027.
Danaos currently has 12 container ships under construction with an aggregate capacity of 91,430 teu, with expected deliveries of six vessels in 2024, two vessels in 2025, three vessels in 2026 and one vessel in 2027.
All newbuildings are designed with the latest eco characteristics, will be methanol fuel ready, fitted with Alternative Maritime Power Units and will all be built in accordance with the latest requirements of IMO in relation to Tier III emission standards and Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) Phase III.
