China’s Shandong Port Equipment Group and Indonesia-based PT SLM have inked a contract three plus three hybrid barges order for biofuel transportation.

It is another shipbuilding contract acquired by Shandong Port Equipment Group from overseas client recently after the two tugboats contract signed with the Singapore client in August.

Measuring in 90.4 metres length and 21 metres width, the vessel will be used for oil and multi liquid chemical products transportation.

“Shandong Port Equipment Group is actively expanding overseas market and enlarging business scope from tugboat-focused to commercial vessels, expecting to grab more high-end equipment orders from global market,” commented Shandong Port Equipment Group.

The newbuilds will be constructed by Shandong Port Equipment Group’s unit, Rizhao Gangda Shipbuilding Heavy Industry
