TMS Cardiff Gas inks long-term LNG vessels repair deal with Seatrium

Greek shipowner TMS Cardiff Gas has inked a long-term contract with Singapore shipyard group Seatrium for LNG carrier repairs and upgrades.

The Favoured Customer Contract between TMS Cardiff Gas and Seatrium the refit of 17 LNG carriers in Singapore, with responsibilities in joint planning, information and experience sharing.

Alexandros Politis-Kalenteris, Deputy Chief Operating Officer, TMS Cardiff Gas, said, “The selection of Seatrium as our partner in Singapore aligns with our strategy to grow our LNG business in Asia. We have worked successfully with Seatrium on three LNG refits and we see Seatrium as the right long-term partner who understands the stringent requirements of our company.”

Seatrium was launched last year following the merger of Keppel Offshore & Marine and Sembcorp Marine.

Singapore Exchange-listed Seatrium said earlier this week that it expects to report a loss of 2023.
