The expansion project includes a new painting workshop and SPB tank assembly shop. The yard’s drydock length will be extended from 290 meters to 370 meters and a new 2,000 tonnes crane will also be added.
Upon the completion of the projects at the end of November this year, Wison will be able to build more large size vessels.
“Nantong is Wison’s major base to construct floating equipment. We inked FLNG order from Eni last year which is driving us to improve our facility and manufacture capability. The expansion project will enable Wison to provide more solutions for EPCIC services globally,” said Zhang Wenlu, deputy president of Wison Offshore.
Wison Offshore currently operates two production bases at Nantong and Zhoushan, which focus on floating facilities fabrication and large module fabrication, respectively.
