CSSC Dalian Shipbuilding Industry (DSIC) and domestic energy industry player Zhejiang Energy Group have inked a strategic co-operation agreement to develop green methanol projects.

DSICs unit Changxingdao Shipyard and Zhejiang Energys subsidiary Mailing Environment Technology Company will deepen collaborations on ship desulphurisation, green methanol projects, carbon reduction products, vessel conversion, oil and offshore engineering products.

Additionally, the two parties will jointly develop the worlds first wind-powered production of hydrogen for a green methanol synthesis project which will have an annual output of 10,000 tonnes, creating an innovative model bringing wind, power, hydrogen and methanol together.

Mailing Environment Technology currently claims to rank in the top three global vessel desulphurisation specialists and has acquired 420 sets of vessel desulphurisation orders as of date.
