The vessels will be prepared for methanol propulsion, as well as hybrid battery and shore connection. The vessels have an estimated EEDI 38% below the 2025 Phase III requirements making them extremely energy efficient.
With future supply of E-Methanol, the vessel would be able to reach a goal of Zero CO2 emissions and almost non-existent NOx emissions, said Sirius.
The first vessel delivery is scheduled in 2026.
Currently Yangzhou Jinling shipyard has 31 chemical tankers and one LPG vessel order on hand.
