ONE takes delivery of first magenta newbuild

Japanese container line joint venture Ocean Network Express (ONE) has taken delivery of its first magenta painted newbuilding.

As the jv between the container line businesses of NYK, Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL), and K Line continues to roll out its distinctive magenta and white branding it has taken delivery of its first newbuilding One Stork in those colours from Japan Marine United.

The 14,000 teu vessel was delivered to NYK which is the sublet owner of the vessel.

“ONE is excited to take delivery of first newbuilding containership with our new corporate colour, magenta. The magenta colour shows our intentional drive to do things differently and explore newness in this market,” said Jeremy Nixon, ceo of ONE.

The Japanese-flagged ONE Stork will be deployed on THE Alliance’s Asia to North America (East Coast) EC4 service with its port rotation Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Yantian, Cai Mep, Singapore, New York, Norfolk, Savannah, Charleston, New York, and Singapore.

ONE's first magenta painted vessel in its existing fleet 8,560 teu ONE Committment made its debut at Asian ports last month.
