With this new port in play, there will be now three calls at Venezuelan ports. The vessel dedicated to this route is Vinni, with a capacity of 1,500 automobiles and 200 high and heavy units.
SC Line maintains Cartagena as a hub allowing cargo to connect to and from Houston to La Guaira-Puerto Cabello, in Venezuela and Manzanillo, Panama.
Headquartered in Panama, SC Line serves the ro-ro, project cargo markets with bi-weekly sailings between the United States, Mexico, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina and Brazil.
In December 2012, SC Line inaugurated a new facility in Santa Marta, Colombia, consisting in a 50,000 sq m bonded area and maintenance dock for imported new cars. This facility offers solutions to port congestion, unit integrity and safety. Today, SC Line Free Zone has currently around 800 trucks and 300 cars in stock.
