The Singapore-based marine firm will construct four 75-tonne bollard-pull diesel electric hybrid azimuth stern drive tugs and one platform supply vessel, scheduled for delivery between the fourth quarter of 2013 and the fourth quarter of 2014.
“Including the latest contract wins, we have secured about S$454.5m worth of new shipbuilding contracts to date in financial year 2012,” said Ang Kok Tian, chairman and managing director at ASL Marine.
“Our ship repair operations also remain robust with demand coming from the offshore oil and gas segments,” Ang said, adding that the company is confident of securing more repairs and upgrading jobs.
