The previously agreed delivery dates for the pair of new VLGC were May and August 2016.
BW LPG said the move is in line with the company's commitment to “provide safe, reliable and cost efficient LPG transportation solutions to our customers.”
“The vessels are designed for flexible deployment, and owning and operating the world's largest fleet of LPG carriers gives us the capacity and flexibility to offer timely and reliable services across the globe,” the company said.
BW LPG owns and operates 36 gas carriers with a total carrying capacity of about 3m cu m, with a further six VLGC newbuilds of 504,000 cu of capacity on order in South Korea.
