Cosco Shipyard Group yards have bagged shipbuilding orders worth a total of more than $216m.

The Zhoushan yard in China will construct four 111,000 dwt oil tankers at a value of over $180m for an undisclosed European shipowner, according to the shipyard group's largest shareholder Cosco Corporation (Singapore). Deliveries are scheduled from the first half of 2015. The shipowner has also declared an option for two more sister vessels.

The Zhoushan yard also inked an order to build a stinger barge for another European company, with delivery slated in the first quarter of 2014.

Separately, Cosco's Dalian yard won an order to build a 22,000-dwt oil tanker for an Asian company, with delivery scheduled in the fourth quarter of 2014.

The latter two contracts are worth a total of over $36m.
