Seoul: Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering has received a $1.1bn order for a drillship and semi-submersible rig.?The offshore structures, which can drill as deep as 40,000 feet (12,000 meters) below sea level, will be delivered by August 31, 2013 to a customer in the Americas, the Seoul-based shipyard said yesterday in an e-mailed statement. It didn't name the buyer.?The contract brings the company's total orders this year to about $9.9 billion, close to its $10 billion annual target, according to the statement. [10/12/10]
