Hanjin Shipping to expand service network in South Africa

Hanjin Shipping to expand service network in South Africa
South Korea’s Hanjin Shipping will expand its service network in South Africa by participating in existing SF1 (South Africa Express 1 Central) and SF2 (South Africa Express 2 South) services.

SF1 and SF2 are currently operated by shipping carriers including Evergreen Line, Cosco, Pacific International Lines (PIL), K Line and Mitsui OSK Lines, covering South Africa, Southeast Asia and the Far East.

Hanjin Shipping said it will participate in the service starting from the last week of October.

“Hanjin Shipping believes that the introduction of this new service will contribute to satisfying various needs of their customers in South Africa,” the Korean shipowner said.

SF1 and SF2 run 15 containerships of 4,000-4,300 teu offering a transit time of 24-28 days from Shanghai to Durban and from Kaohsiung to Cape Town.
