The logistics unit of South Korea’s auto firm Hyundai Motor Group said it plans to deploy around 20 panamax bulk carriers to transport mainly pebble and sand to Qatar under the long term shipping contract.
The contract will be effective from January 2016 to December 2020.
Approximately 50 million tonnes of aggregates will be shipped from the UAE and Oman to a pier located in southern Qatar, according to Hyundai Glovis.
