The country's main seaport recorded 823,667 teu of throughput last month, an increase of 1.8% from 808,785 in the same period of last year, according to figures from the Maritime and Port Bureau. Month-on-month, container handling volumes improved from 760,039 teu seen in February.
In the first quarter of this year, the port registered 2.39m teu of throughput, an increase of 4.8% from 2.28m teu in the corresponding period of 2011.
