Keppel AmFELS seals jack-up order from Mexico
Singapore: Keppel AmFELS has won a contract from Mexico's Perforadora Central to build a repeat jack-up rig worth $205m.

The subsidiary of Singapore-based Keppel Offshore & Marine will deliver the rig in the first quarter of 2014.

“Having recently secured the Ocean Onyx semi-submersible major upgrade and a series of repairs, this newbuild jack-up adds to a healthy workload through 1Q2014,” said Tan Geok Seng, president of Keppel AmFELS.

The high specification jack-up rig is designed with leg lengths of 511 feet and the capability to drill wells up to 30,000 feet at a water depth of 375 feet.
