Mermaid Maritime bags $45m worth of Middle East subsea work

The Thai offshore company said that it won two saturation diving contracts in the Middle East both of six to eight months in duration. The first contract has already started and the second will commence on completion of the first for an undisclosed client.

Mermaid has chartered the DP3 OSV Bourbon Evolution for eight months, with an option for a further eight months. The company said it would deploy specialised diving equipment, ROVs, specialised divers and other project crew for the contracts. It said the contracts were worth up to $45m.
