Shanghai: Port equipment manufacturer Shanghai Zhenhua Port Machinery has changed its name to Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry (Group) Co with immediate effect, but retains its ZPMC trademark, reports SinoCast Daily Business Beat.
ZPMC is a manufacturer of cranes. Its strengths include quayside container cranes, rubber-tired gantry cranes (RTGs), bulk-material ship loaders and unloaders, bucket-wheel stackers and reclaimers, portal cranes and floating cranes engineering vessels.
The company has professional subsidiaries like Zhenhua Fengcheng Brake Company, Zhenhua Shenyang Outdoor Elevator Company and Zhenhua Ningbo Transmission Mechanism Company.
In the first quarter of 2009, ZPMC accounced net profits of CNY 450 million, slipping 18.03% from a year earlier. By March 31, its total assets amounted to CNY 52 billion, dipping 2.94%. [21/05/09]
