The 21,000 bhp offshore vessels are currently being constructed at Otto Marine's yard in Batam, Indonesia, and they are scheduled for completion in August and October this year respectively.
The unnamed owner of the vessels is based in Batam. Both the AHTS vessels will be chartered by Otto Marine for a period of eight years.
Singapore-listed Otto Marine believed the deal will help to boost the company's cash flow, reduce bank loans and improve its gearing ratio.
“With an improved financial position and the release of capacity at our Batam shipyard, the group is now ready to take on more jobs, including shipbuilding, ship repairs and fabrication works,” said Michael See, executive director and group cfo of Otto Marine.
