Otto Marine inks AHTS charter contract
Singapore: Otto Marine entered into a time-charter contract for an initial value of $20.8m over three years for a 7,200 bhp AHTS vessel.

The contract includes an option to extend for a further one plus one year, bringing the potential value of the contract up to $35m.

The AHTS vessel with DP class 2 capabilities will be operated by Global Workboats and deployed off the coast of Nigeria.

The vessel Beluga 1 is currently undergoing routine maintenance at Otto's Batam shipyard.

“We are delighted with this charter contract which is a reflection of our increasing presence in Africa and together with the recent sale of our 10,800 bhp AHTS vessel to a third party for $31m demonstrates our commitment to steadily strengthen and improve our cash position,” said Michael See, cfo at Otto.

We will continue to work on strengthening our chartering fleet through organic growth to enhance our operating and logistics capabilities,” he said.
